Work from Home’ on 23 October 2025 on Account of ‘Red Strong Wind Warning’ Advisory Issued by NZ Met Service

Pursuant to the the New Zealand Met Service’s Red Strong Wind Warning Alert (its highest alert level) for various regions of New Zealand including Wellington on Thursday 23 October 2025, received from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, the High Commission of Pakistan in Wellington will observe ‘Work from Home’ on Thursday, 23 October 2025 to ensure safety of its personnel and visitors.

All the Consular appointments for 23rd October in which in-person visit was mandatory would therefore be re-scheduled, for which Consular Staff of the High Commission would be in contact with all the individual applicants via telephone/ email on 23rd October 2025.

The decision has been made in anticipation of a number of potential disruptions of local transportation services accompanied by widespread physical damage from the destructive winds.
