Police Character Certificate

Requirements for Islamabad, Punjab, Balochistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

Procedural/ Documentation /Requirements

Personal presence of the applicant at the Pakistan High Commission, Wellington is mandatory. Please bring the following documents with you:
  • Original Valid NICOP/CNIC Card along with its photocopy (front & back) (for Pakistanis only)
  • Original Pakistani Passport with photocopy of its bio-pages (first four pages).
  • Government / Semi Govt Employees should apply along with a NOC obtained from the Head of Department of the parent department.
  • A photocopy of foreign passport / PR Card / landing paper / Status abroad, if any.
  • Self-addressed Express / Registered Post envelope.
Requirements for Sindh and KPK
  • Two sets of duly filled in Application Form
  • Four (4) recent passport size photographs.
  • One JP attested photostat copy of valid CNIC/NICOP (for Pakistanis only)
  • One JP attested photostat copy of the current Passport.
  • Government / Semi Govt Employees should apply along with a NOC obtained from the Head of Department of the parent department.
  • A photocopy of foreign passport / Visa.
  • Self-addressed Express / Registered Post envelope.
This verification process may take considerable time and your desired Certificate can only be issued after receiving clearance from Pakistan.

Remarks

  • After receiving an application for issuance of a Police Character Certificate (PCC), the High Commission forwards it to the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad for processing.
  • This verification process may take 3 to 6 months
  • The PCC could only be issued by the High Commission once clearance has been received from Pakistan.

For Foreign Nationals

Procedural/ Documentation /Requirements
In addition to the above-mentioned for online applicants requirements, a copy of the current passport and previous passport on which a Pakistani visa was issued may also be submitted

There is no cost/fee for applying a PCC.

 2. Employee Verification Certificate

  • Personal presence of the applicant family member, if authorized by the applicant (in writing) and conveyed to the High Commission via official email;

3. Acquisition of copy of FIR from Pakistan

Following are the procedural requirements:

  • Personal presence of the applicant or family member, if authorized by the applicant in writing and conveyed to the High Commission via official email;
  •  Applicant’s CNIC;

FIR number and name of the Police Station in which FIR was registered.

 4. Tenants Registration 

Procedural/ Documentation /Requirements

Following are the procedural requirements:

  • Personal presence of the applicant or his/her family member, if authorized by the applicant in writing and conveyed to the High Commission via official email;
  • In case of Overseas Pakistanis, CNIC of property owner;
  • In case tenant is Pakistani, his/her CNIC;
  • Copy of the lease agreement;
  • Affidavit;
  • Photograph of tenant;
