We Remember so We Never Forget: Honouring the Shuhada & Families of 15 March 2019 Terror Attack

On 12 July 2025, @PakinNewZealand in collaboration with @PACNZ47 organized a solemn ceremony in the memory of and to honour nine shuhada and one survivor from Pakistan in the aftermath of Christchurch terrorist attack on 15 March 2019.

This commemorative event brought together our community, local dignitaries and friends from different walks of life; to reflect, heal, and stand united with the bereaved families.

We deeply appreciate the valiant and noble spirit of empathy (aroha), inclusivity, unity and solidarity shown by New Zealand government and its people in the aftermath of the attack that resonated globally.

Also a big shoutout to PACNZ for being an outstanding partner, Rabiah Khawaja, NZ Police, Immigration NZ, Adele Mitchell from INZ for her consequential work with the families and survivors and last but not the least Hon. MP Megan Woods who has been a pillar of support & solace all through the years.
