SAMOA PAKISTAN FRIENDSHIP CENTER
Samoa and Pakistan have enjoyed cordial relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1983. In 2024 the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) was held in Samoa and the village of Fagalii hosted the delegation from Pakistan.
It was there that Pakistan had committed a funding of funding of USD$20,000 for Fagalii Primary School.
On Friday, the school had opened the Samoa Pakistan Friendship Center funded by the Pakistan Government. The center includes a computer lab and a renovation of the library which has become a learning center.
The center was officially opened by Education Minister Aiono Dr Alec Ekeroma and High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Samoa Dr Faisal Aziz Ahmed.
