Prime Minister’s Directives For Expeditious Resolution of Court Cases of Overseas Pakistanis Regrading Property Matters
The Government of Pakistan has established Special Courts for Overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad under the Special Courts (Overseas Pakistanis Property) Act 2024 to ensure expeditious resolution of disputes, particularly those related to immovable property. In pursuance of the Act, two District and Session Judges have been designated in the district judiciary while one Judge from the Islamabad High Court has also been nominated. In Punjab, the 2025 Act for the establishment of Special Courts (Overseas Pakistanis Property) has been passed with the aim to apply these mechanisms across the province.
Pakistani Diaspora in New Zealand is encouraged to utilize the above mechanisms for their pending court cases/litigation pertaining to immovable property, across the country.
