Pakistan High Commissioner Visits Auckland Ismaili Jamatkhana

On Sunday, 17 November 2024, His Excellency Dr. Faisal Aziz Ahmed, newly appointed Pakistan High Commissioner to New Zealand, visited the Auckland Ismaili Jamatkhana.

During the visit, the High Commissioner was presented with an insightful video highlighting the impactful work of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Ismaili CIVIC, both in New Zealand and globally. He also toured the Jamatkhana, expressing admiration for the institution’s design and ethos, drawing parallels to his prior visit to the Ismaili Centre in London.

Dr. Ahmed, who is familiar with AKDN’s significant contributions to development in Pakistan, engaged in meaningful discussions with Ismaili community leaders over a light lunch. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining close ties and exploring avenues for future collaboration.

The visit underscored shared values of service and development, strengthening the bond between the Pakistan High Commission and the Ismaili community in New Zealand.
