National Indentity Card For Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP)

NICOP is mandatory for all individuals who fall in the following categories:

  • All dual nationality holders.
  • Landed immigrants.
  • Persons residing abroad for more than six months.
  • Children under the age of 18 years.
     


 

    • Application Form

    • Please fill in the form in BLACK INK and clearly print or type only in CAPITAL letters. A lock may be left empty wherever a word ends and a new word begins in the same line.
    • Completely filled in application submitted by the applicant personally or through registered / Courier Mail.

      Note: Applicants sending their documents through mail should invariably enclose a pre-paid, self-addressed envelope.

    • Application must be attested by CNIC / NICOP holder. Parents, brother and sister can not attest the form.
    • Present Address in the form indicates Address in New Zealand.
    • Permanent Address in the form indicates Address in Pakistan.
    • Applicant must put left thumb impression using black thumb pad and signature on the form.
       

    • Two Passport Size Coloured Photograph (Please check photograph specification page)

    • Two coloured passport size photograph, taken within past three months.

    • Supporting Documents

    • Photocopy of National Identity Card (NIC) / CNIC.
       
    • Photocopies of Pakistani Passport's first four (4) pages or New Zealand Passport.
    • For married women holding NIC in maiden name, photocopy of husband's NIC & marriage certificate.
    • Photocopy of foreign passport / PR Card / landing paper / Citizenship Card.
    • Photocopies of parents National Identity Cards for those who do not have their own NIC.
       

    • NICOP for Children under 18 years

    • Completely filled in NICOP form.
    • Photocopy of RG (II) form or CRC issued by NADRA.
       
    • Photocopies of Pakistan or New Zealand Passport.
       
    • Photocopies of Parents National Identity Cards.
       
    • Photocopy of Citizenship / PR card for foreign nationals and birth certificate of children born in New Zealand.
       
    • Parents have to write names of children who can not sign the form.
       
    • Children must put left thumb impression using black thumb pad on the form.

    • Fees


    • Bank Draft in the name of 'NADRA-Pakistan' for NZ$ 67 per card. For more than one card, a consolidated draft can be prepared for one family.

Note:


NICOP will be issued by NADRA in Pakistan. On receipt by the Mission, card will be mailed to the applicant's mailing address.

Cancellation of NIC/CNIC/NICOP Respecting Expatriates – Renouncing  Nationality an Enhancement in NICOP/POC (Modification, Duplicate & Reprint) Cases Processing Fee.

NADRA is receiving large number NICS/CNICS/NICOPs for cancellation through Directorate General of Immigration & Passports as well as from Embassies / Pak. Missions abroad respecting Pakistanis renunciating their nationality. Lot of efforts, resources and time is consumed on cancellation of such NICs/CNICs/NICOPs through the existing system as well as by deputing extra manpower which is not only putting extra pressure on the already depleting resources but also resulting into disruption of normal processing of CNIC/NICOP/POC to Pakistani nationals – prime responsibility of NADRA. Therefore, in the light of land rules, processing fee on such cases is required to be charged from the concerned applicants. Accordingly, to complete documentation in speedy manner with extra efforts / resources, processing fee of Modification / Duplicate / Reprint of NICOP/POCs cases has been made applicable for implementation.

Foregoing in view, the authority has approved the processing fee for Modification / Duplicate / Reprint / Cancellation of NICs/CNICs/NICOPs/POCs as per following categories / fee structure:
  • Modification, Duplicate and Reprint NICOP Fee:
    • NZ $67 or Equivalent thereof

     
  • Modification, Duplicate and Reprint POC Fee:
    • Below 18 Years - NZ$ 107 or equivalent thereof
    • Above 18 Years - NZ$ 200 or equivalent thereof

     
  • Cancellation of NICs/CNICs/NICOPs fee respecting those Pakistanis who have renounced Pakistani Nationality:
    • NZ$ 134/- or Equivalent thereof

     
  • Cancellation of POC in case of acquiring Pakistani Nationality or Nationality of Dual National Country:
    • US$ 150/- or Equivalent thereof
