Power of Attorney Attestation:
Attestation of documents such as Power of Attorney and Authority Letter should be signed by the executants in front of the High Commission officials.
Alternatively, the attestation of the Justice of Peace can be counter-attested by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The High Commission then would attest the seal of the local Foreign Office without the need for the presence of the applicant.

- Personal appearance before the Consular Officer is necessary to sign Power of Attorney or other documents involving attestation of signatures. Please bring along your original ID.
- If the person is unable to come personally, then his/her document must be attested/verified by the Department of Internal Affairs of New Zealand.
- All New Zealand documents must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, New Zealand.
